Zomato delivery man works 6 hours on Diwali night, earns Rs 317. Video sparks discussion

A Zomato delivery partner in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut has gone viral as he shared a vlog documenting his earnings after working for six hours on Diwali night.
Ritik Tomar worked on October 31 from 5pm to 11pm and delivered eight orders as seen in a video that he shared on Instagram.
As he recorded his six-hour work throughout the evening on Diwali, Tomar showed the amount of money that he earned from every order that day, which totalled approximately Rs 317.

As the video went viral with over four million views, social media users discussed that Diwali is not the “same for everyone” – several “struggled for a meal” as others celebrated on the festival of lights. Many emphasised the importance of treating delivery workers with kindness, while one user mentioned that he regularly tips them.
